Caramel Apples

We made caramel apples with the kids today. I must say, they were delicious and the kids were so proud of them. It has been a long time since I've had one and they were even better than I remembered. I was impressed that the kids enjoyed them so much they even ate the apple!

We introduced the kids to a time honored tradition... Roasting marshmallows! The kids had such a blast. Elisabeth thought they were "camping out".

The highlight of the past few weeks of homeschool has been reading circle. Each day we sit in a circle and read the readers that go along with our curriculum. Rebekah Kate's Premiere

Introducing Rebekah Kate. If you watch carefully (around 1:13), you can see her yawn.
We can't wait for her to join our world in March 2012!

4 Year Old Choir

My mom has been teaching 4 year old choir for as long as I remember. In fact, she taught Todd and me over 30 years ago. Now her greatest joy is picking up Caleb and Elisabeth every Wednesday night to sing in her choir. The kids love it and it's not a bad deal for us either! The video below is their first outing in "big church".

Pumpkin Patch

Going to the pumpkin patch is a family tradition, but the tradition is not complete until we finish our adventure with Krispy-Kreme doughnuts. I'm not sure where the kids have more fun... searching for the great pumpkin or watching the doughnuts float down the river of oil!
