Our Weekend

This past weekend, my parents were keeping my nephews while my brother and sister-in-law were on a business trip. We took Caleb and Elisabeth over to their house several times to play and swim with their cousins. The kids had so much fun swimming, feeding the ducks, and playing together.

Waking Up Is Hard to Do!

New Park

We stumbled upon a new park this week. It has a great little playground, nature trails and even a chicken coop. The kids and mosquitoes couldn't get enough of the chicken coop!

New Swimming Pool

We bought a new swimming pool yesterday to officially launch spring.  

The kids absolutely loved it!

Quote of the Day

We took Caleb and Elisabeth to the beach this morning. On the way, I said, "Caleb, are you going to play with me at the beach?" He replied, "No, girls!"

Watch out! It looks like we have a ladies man on our hands.

Celebrating Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter. We went to the early church service. Then we came home and did an egg hunt with Caleb and Elisabeth. They were so sweet. They figured out that there was candy in the eggs, so they snacked while they hunted for eggs. If Caleb found a pink egg he gave it to Elisabeth and if she found a blue egg she gave it to Caleb. For dinner, all of the Bristowes and Floyds got together at my parent's house. The best part of all was teaching Caleb and Elisabeth that Easter is celebrating God's amazing love for us and that our Savior is alive!

A Visit From the Cousins

My sister, Jan, and her family came for a visit this week. I realize now that they are gone that we did not take that many pictures. We were just too busy enjoying the time that they were here. We had so much fun. Caleb is in heaven playing with his cousins.

The Wonder of it All!

The joy of a child is an amazing thing.  Crawling caterpillars, fluttering butterflies, chasing lizards, puddles after the rain and swings blowing in the breeze.  Children make you thankful for the small things in life.  They remind you of things long forgotten.  They transport you to simpler times and make you grateful for the wonder of it all!

1st Easter Egg Hunt

Our church had an Easter egg hunt today. This is the first year Caleb and Elisabeth understood what they were supposed to do. It was so sweet watching my babies walk around carrying their Easter baskets. It literally brought tears to my eyes. How quickly they grow!
