Rabbits!

We have the best next door neighbors. Yesterday, they brought out their pet rabbits for Caleb and Elisabeth to play with. The kids were so excited to play with and feed the rabbits.

It's Official!

It is official! This weekend our home of nearly eight years went on the market. It is so bitter sweet for us. We are excited about the chance for a bigger home, but we have loved every minute of living here. This house has held countless joyful memories for us.
We know that this is not the best market to sell a house, but this is a great market to buy. It is all in God's hands. If He wants us to move this house will sell and if He wants us to stay here it will not sell. Either way, we will be happy and content!

A Breath of Fresh Air!

We have spent a lot of time in the house this week. The weather has been cold and we have had to spend a lot of time getting the house ready to go on the market. We have all had a little bit of cabin fever.
Today was a beautiful and warmer day. We packed a picnic lunch and spent much of the day at the park. It was wonderful!

One of Those Days

Today was one of those days. I had a lot to do. It was too cold to take the kids outside. Opinions and emotions ran high and I was reminded that I am standing at the doorstep of having two 2 year olds. About 9:30 I sent Todd a two sentence e-mail letting him know that the day was off to a rough start. Thirty seconds after I hit the send button my wonderful husband called to check on me and offer some words of encouragement. (Have I mentioned that he is a keeper?) Just when I think I am going to need to take a mommy time out Caleb and Elisabeth do something that melts me into a puddle.

After I mopped the floor today, Caleb and Elisabeth decided that they needed to help me out. Thank goodness we have two mops.

Caleb and Elisabeth both crawled up in the chair with their Bibles. I asked Elisabeth what was she reading about and she said, "Jesus".

Good days or bad days I am having the time of my life and it just can't get any better than this.

Busy with Life!

I have not been blogging as much lately.  We have just been busy with life.  This week we said goodbye to our good friends the Browns.  They left for Africa to be missionaries.  We are excited for them and excited to be a part of sending them to Africa.  We will miss them, but we know that God has great plans for them, their family, and their ministry.

We have been talking to Caleb and Elisabeth about the Browns going to Africa.  We ask them, "Where are Hunter and Avery going?", and they say, "Africa".  Then we say, "They are going to tell people about..." and they say, "Jesus".  So sweet!

In other news, we have decided to put our house on the market.  It will officially go on the market at the end of next week.  We know that this is not the best time to sell a house, but there are a lot of great houses on the market right now so we decided to give it a try.   Todd and I are busy getting the house ready. We look forward to having more space for our family.

22 Months

Caleb and Elisabeth are 22 months old today. I can't even wrap my mind around the thought that they are almost two years old. Where does the time go?

Elisabeth bring such joy and sass to our home. She is such a girl. She loves to pick out her own clothes and shoes. When we are about to leave to go somewhere she reminds me to put a bow in her hair. She is also emotional and full of drama.

Elisabeth still loves her stuffed animals. Her pink puppy goes almost everywhere we go (as you can tell from many of our pictures). She has just recently become attached to her baby dolls. A couple of weeks ago we went out to dinner with some friends. One of the couples has a baby named Lily. Elisabeth was fascinated with baby Lily. Since then she has spent hours playing with her dolls and all of them are now named Lily.

Elisabeth loves to sing. Today we were in the car and she was in the backseat singing, "Jesus, Jesus". It was so sweet. She loves for me to make up songs for her. She will tell me what she wants to sing about and I will make a song for her. Todd said that I have become quite the song writer.

Caleb is the prototypical boy. He loves being outside, carrying a stick, running, climbing, jumping off of things, getting dirty, exploring, and recently one of his cousins taught him how to spit (thanks Joel!).

With all his rough and toughness, Caleb is still our snuggle bug. He has always been such an affectionate and snuggly little boy. Even though he is the oldest child by only a minute, he has taken on the oldest child role. He looks after Elisabeth. If she is upset he will look for her stuffed animals and bring them to her. He takes good care of his sister.

Caleb is very observant and does not miss a thing. He listens to every conversation that we have and has a great memory. He is learning so much gets joy out of everything in life.

Todd and I still look at Caleb and Elisabeth in total amazement. God is so good to us!

St. Augustine

Todd was home from work all week last week. It was heavenly! We had so much fun. We went to the zoo, St. Augustine, made several trips to the park, went shopping, hung out with family and friends, and just enjoyed playing with Caleb and Elisabeth.
Here are a few pictures of us at the fort in St. Augustine.

Helmets and Tricycles

Caleb & Elisabeth got tricycles for Christmas.  They could not be more proud.  Yesterday, we went to Target to let them pick out their helmets and then took them to the park.  Even though the can barely reach the pedals, they enjoy driving and ringing their bell.
