Zoo Trip

Yesterday Caleb, Elisabeth, and I went to the zoo with my friends Kim and Shannon and their children Noah, Abigail, Hunter, and Avery. It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time. Caleb and Elisabeth loved looking at the animals and they got to ride the train for the first time.

Swimming!

On Sunday afternoon we took Caleb and Elisabeth over to my brother's house to swim. This was their first real experience in a real pool (not the baby pool we have). They loved the water. They also loved playing in the pool with their cousins. We are looking forward to swimming a lot this summer.

Starting to Walk

Our babies are growing up too fast. It seems like they were just starting too crawl and now they are starting to walk. Here are some clips of them learning to walk. We love the way Elisabeth is a "ham" for the camera and the victory hug Caleb gives Daddy at the end of the video.

I love the way Caleb and Elisabeth follow me around the house. They love "helping" me. You should see how helpful they are at folding the laundry.

Mmmmmmmm!

Tonight we had dinner at the Floyd's. Caleb and Elisabeth love to go and play with Grandma and Pops. They ate Grandma's chicken pot pie and then Grandma brought out the chocolate chips cookies that she baked. As you can see, Caleb and Elisabeth enjoyed the cookies.

Beach Babies!

This afternoon Todd and I took Caleb and Elisabeth to the beach. It was such a beautiful day and the babies had so much fun. They loved playing in the water and the sand. Caleb loved the water. He kept pulling Todd's hand to take him further into the water. Elisabeth ate enough sand to fill her tummy for a week.

We took this picture of Caleb and Elisabeth before we went to a barbecue for our friends the Browns. The Browns are preparing to be missionaries in Africa. We went to the barbecue to support them. Caleb and Elisabeth had such a great time at the party.

Our Favorite Time of Day!

Our favorite time of day is when Todd gets home from work. Elisabeth wakes up from her afternoon nap asking for her Daddy. Caleb and Elisabeth have learned that when they hear the garage door go up that means Daddy is home. They can't wait to be in his arms.

Elisabeth and Caleb love playing with the pots in the kitchen. When I am busy in the kitchen they are right there with me playing.

Fun in the Playroom

Every night before bath time we play with the babies in the playroom. They have gotten so animated lately and love to play. It is so much fun to sit back and watch them roll around, laugh and giggle at each other.

13th Months!

Caleb and Elisabeth are 13 months old today. They are as busy as ever. This is such a fun age. It seems like everyday they are learning to do or say something new. They are both all over the place. They are walking around everything, walking holding our hands, and walking some on their own.

Elisabeth brings us so much joy everyday. She is learning to say a few words. She loves to say dada. She talks about him all day while he is at work. When she hears the garage door go up in the afternoon she looks at me and says "dada". She also shakes her head no when she does not want something. If we try to feed her something she does not like she shakes her head no. If we feed her something that she likes she says "Mmmmm" as she takes every bite. The kids have a play phone. Elisabeth loves to put the phone up to her ear and say, "Hi".

Caleb is our happy, big boy. He loves to play outside. We got the kids a swing set for their birthday. He loves to swing and does not like it when it is time to go inside. He loves to watch and play with his cousins. He thinks he is one of the big boys. Caleb loves to talk on the phone. When I am on the phone he sits next to me and makes noise until I let him talk on the phone.

This is Elisabeth's new favorite place to play. She clears enough toys out of the basket so that she can sit in the basket and play.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Last night we took Caleb and Elisabeth to watch their cousins play baseball. They got so excited when they saw them in the dug out. They were like little celebrities the way their cousins huddled around them.

Road Trip!

Today my mom and I took Caleb and Elisabeth to Gainesville. We started the day by going to Caleb and Elisabeth's Great Granddaddy's house. It was so great to see him and have him play with the babies. Then we met my aunt, Janis, at the park. We had a picnic lunch and the babies played on the playground. It was such a great day. Caleb and Elisabeth were so good and had a such a fun time.

Fun in the Pool

The weather has felt like summer for the past several days. We got Caleb and Elisabeth a baby pool. At first they were a little shocked by the cold water, but they quickly got over it. They had so much fun splashing, playing, and sticking their face in the water.

The Zoo with Pops and Grandma

Todd's parents (Grandma and Pops) got us a year pass to the zoo. On Saturday afternoon, we took them with us to the zoo. The weather was beautiful. Caleb and Elisabeth loved being at the zoo with Grandma and Pops. They also loved that they spent most of the trip out of their stroller.
