Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. I feel as though we have been celebrating for a week and we have loved every minute of it.

We spent Christmas morning at home. We had our traditional Christmas breakfast, cinnamon rolls. Then, we started opening presents. Caleb and Elisabeth were so sweet opening their presents. They would open a present and then just want to play with it. We did not finish opening their presents until this morning, three days after Christmas.

We got Caleb a basketball goal. Todd immediately put it together and Caleb started shooting baskets. Elisabeth's favorite present was a remote control puppy. She has such a love for puppies. Her reaction to it was priceless. She smiled and let out a squeal when she opened it.

Then, we headed to my parents. We opened presents with my parents and brother's family. Todd's family came over and we all had Christmas lunch together.

Christmas night, my sister, Jan, and her family came in town. Friday morning, we all got together and let the cousins open their present from each other.

We have spent the weekend with Jan and her family. Caleb and Elisabeth have had the time of their lives playing with their cousins. We love watching Caleb playing with his cousins. He has no idea that he is smaller than they are. He tries to do everything that they are doing.

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve.  During the day, we had a picnic at the park.  We spent the evening at Todd's parent's house.   Rhonda made great dinner and Caleb and Elisabeth were blessed with many gifts.   Here are a few pictures from our day!

I love these little faces!

A Yummy Tradition!

My sis-in-law, Laura, and I have a holiday tradition of making candy together. Here are a few pictures of us making the candy and Caleb and Elisabeth sampling the candy.

A Few Christmas Favorites!

Here are a few of our favorite Christmas things!

We got Caleb and Elisabeth this nativity scene.  They have had so much fun playing with it and learning about the story of baby Jesus!

Helping Daddy hang Christmas lights on our house.

Todd got Caleb and Elisabeth this blow up snowman.  They love it so much.
Here are some our favorite Christmas books.
I got the kids a couple of nativity coloring books that they have enjoyed coloring.
Playing with play-dough and Christmas cookie cutters.

A Fun Lunch!

Today Caleb, Elisabeth, and I met my mom and aunt at the mall for lunch.  My aunt, whom the children call Nanny, was in town for the day.  Caleb and Elisabeth had so much fun seeing her.

A Whole Lot Of Christmas Going On!

This weekend the Floyd house was busy with Christmas activities. We made Christmas cookies, decorated cookies, and painted Christmas cards.  I will admit that this teacher turned mama may have over shot it quite a bit.  It was CRAZY.  I am not sure if our children or house will ever come clean, but we had a really fun time.  I am thankful for Todd, because not matter what crazy idea I come up with, he just smiles and says, "Whatever you want to do, babe".   Hopefully, all the paint and food coloring will come off him before he has to go to work in the morning.

Christmas Comes Early

Todd got a new camera for Christmas. It was delivered yesterday and since we wanted to use it on Christmas day we decided to go ahead and try it out. We took it with us to the park today and got some really cute pictures. We still have much to learn about this camera (it is far more complicated that our old one) but it looks like we are going to love it.
