Review Week

Homeschool week 13

This week we reviewed letters G, H, and I. Caleb and Elisabeth are doing so well learning their letters and sounds. We are so proud of them.

We also used this week to talk about Thanksgiving. We made Thanksgiving cards for our family, a couple of turkey crafts, and thankful baskets. We talked a lot about what it means to be thankful and how much we have to be thankful for. I made thankful books for both of them. Everyday we would talk about someone or something that the kids were thankful for. They would draw pictures (or the two year old version of drawing pictures) of what they were thankful for and I would label the pictures for them. It really turned out to be a fun activity.

We went to the zoo today and fed the Giraffes for the first time. It is really quite an experience. It's tongue had to be close to two feet long. The kids absolutely loved it. I think they were trying to figure out where they could keep it in the new house!

Hopscotch

Hopscotch
In honor of "H" week, we introduced the kids to hopscotch. Caleb jumped over it a few times, then left to play golf. Elisabeth, on the other hand, got so excited about the new game. It was so funny watching her hop around. You would think she has kangaroo in her blood.

Trick or Treat-- "Candy Please!.. Thank You!"

Halloween 2009
Last night we took the kids over to Grandma's house and then to the cousins to go trick or treating. We mostly walked around, but the kids had a blast. We could only hit one house for every three their cousins raided. After a half hour of walking, we were done for the night. The kids fell asleep exhausted, but with big smiles on their face.
