Dinosaur!

Today we went to the dinosaur exhibit at MOSH. The kids had a great time, but weren't too sure about the safety of these "biiiigggg dinosaurs". Caleb kept a tight grip on Todd's shoulders. He never complained.  However, the second Todd put him down his little white legs shot for the door and never looking back. Caleb loves to hold the door for the ladies, but when prehistoric creatures are going to eat you it's obviously every person for himself.

Ice Cream Cone

A couple of months ago, I took Caleb out for guys day and Tiffany took Elisabeth to a wedding shower. Elisabeth soon found out that Caleb and I went to Bruster's for ice cream. This did not sit well with little princess. Now, every time we drive by Bruster's, Elisabeth, with a pitiful look and distant sigh, states "Bubba... Dada... ice cream". She never fusses, never complains... just sort of dreams of a magical place with ice cream cones and colored sprinkles.

Today, Tiffany and I could take it no longer. After we cleaned up from the beach, I said "Who wants to go to Bruster's for ice cream?" I wish I had a picture. She looked up from playing with her dolls, gasped and shrieked "ice cream cone!!!". She then began to twirl in place whispering "ice cream cone!". Bruster's is now a family place. No longer a distant "Bubba... Dada..." place.

Umbrellas!

It started raining during snack time today. As soon as Caleb saw the coming storm he began to beg and plead his case. "Play, rain! Play, rain!"  That little boy loves the rain!

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day. I am so thankful for Todd and what a wonderful Daddy he is to Caleb and Elisabeth. I love the way he prays with them and for them, the way they squeal when he gets home from work, and how much he loves them. Caleb and Elisabeth are so blessed to call Todd their Daddy!

Here are a few pictures from our day.

My Birthday

I had a wonderful birthday. Todd took the day off on Thursday and we took the kids to the beach. That evening, my parents had all the Floyds and the Bristowes over for dinner. Friday night, Todd took me on a birthday date. I had such a great day. I am truly blessed.

Happy Birthday Tiffany!

My wonderful wife turns 32 today! She asked me if 32 was when I started feeling tired all the time. My reply? No dear, that happened when we had twins. So, here's to an incredible year of love, joy, health and happiness. I love you babe!

It's great to have kids.  They get so excited about little things. The highlight of the week has been baking cupcakes for Mama's birthday.  As you can see, they also enjoyed the fruits of their labor.

This is my personal favorite! I guess he didn't want to get his hands dirty!

Did you say "iPod"?

iPod, phone, movies, computer, calculator... just a few words our babies shouldn't know yet, but do.

Mama's Night Out

Every Wednesday night Tiffany goes to a Bible study with a group of ladies from the church. I am reminded every week how hard her job is and how thankful I am for her. I'm also reminded, that if you are not careful, chaos can erupt at any moment.

Crazy Dinner

Gone are the quiet romantic dinners for two.
Gone are the peaceful dinners with four.
We wouldn't have it any other way.

Lizard! Frog!

My little girl has a fascination with creeping crawling things. I guess I'm to blame, because I know this didn't come from Tiffany. What can I say the girl dressed in pink can't get enough of the lizards and frogs in our backyard. Don't get me wrong, Caleb keeps an ever present eye for them. He is sure to alert me as soon as one crosses into our perimeter, but he's not one for actually holding them. Elisabeth on the other hand wants to (in the words of the abominable snow creature from Bugs Bunny) "hug him and love him and keep him for my very own".

There is nothing funnier than watching a screaming woman sprint across the yard with a squealing two year old and lizard in hot pursuit.  (I have yet to capture that on film).  I personally believe there is nothing to worry about!  It is simply an overflow of the sweet maternal instinct she is learning from her mother.
