No Batteries Needed
Caleb and Elisabeth have a ball popper that they love. Unfortunately, it ran out of batteries. Never fear, daddy's here.

Today we went to the zoo with some friends. We spent most of the time at the splash park. This was the first time Caleb and Elisabeth played at the water part of the zoo. They had so much fun.

We love to play outside after dinner. Tonight we got out the sidewalk chalk. Todd impressed the kids with his drawings. Caleb loved tasting the chalk and Elisabeth would only draw with the pink piece of chalk.

We took Caleb and Elisabeth swimming with their cousins this afternoon. They have graduated from using their big floaties to using arm water wings. They did such a great job kicking their legs and treading water. They are growing up so fast. This is a very short movie of them swimming. It could not be longer because Todd and I were too busy to take many pictures or video.

Caleb and Elisabeth are seventeen months old today. We have had a fun month full of vacation, play dates, swimming, birthday parties, and a visit from Aunt Jan and the cousins. We still refer to Caleb and Elisabeth as the babies and they will always be our babies, but we realize everyday that they are growing up so fast.
Caleb is getting busier by the day. This month he has discovered his love for the water. When we go to the beach he heads straight for the water. The other day we took them swimming with their cousins. Caleb had the best time. When we got home he brought us the jug we use to fill up the blow up pool so we would fill it and he could swim some more.
Elisabeth is talking so much. I have lost count of how many words she can say. Just today, Todd took them through the drive thru she came running into the house to find me, saying,"French fry", and showing me that Daddy had given her a fry. She will repeat just about anything we say.
Life is good. Our family is so blessed. Todd and I are so thankful for a sweet Caleb and Elisabeth.

We have been celebrating for two days at our house.
Yesterday we celebrated our ten year anniversary. We spent the morning playing with the kids and then my mom came over to stay with Caleb and Elisabeth and Todd and I headed to the beach. We just spent a week at the beach but we spent all our beach time chasing Caleb and Elisabeth so yesterday we went with chairs to just sit and relax. About twenty minutes into our relaxing, the lifeguard truck came through and said an electrical storm was on its way and it was not safe to be on the beach. So, we packed up and went out to lunch. We spent the afternoon playing with the kids and resting and then we went out on a date last night. We had so much fun just enjoying each other and reminiscing about our first decade of marriage. In addition to all of the movies that Todd made for me, he also gave me a photo book of memories, and a beautiful diamond ring to wear on my right hand. I got him an iMac computer. I know it does not sound very romantic but it was just what he wanted.
Today is Todd's birthday and two years ago today we found out that I was pregnant. We had a fun day with the kids. We went to Chick-fil-a and the mall. This afternoon while Caleb and Elisabeth were napping my mom came over and Todd and I went to a movie and then had an early dinner. We really got spoiled with two date nights in a row.
I still have a few movies left to post. This is the movie Todd put together of some of the trips we have taken.
