Memorial Day

After a very interesting weekend last weekend, which included: a flat tire, a fender bender between our two cars, a double ear infection ( I was the one with the infections. I thought I was too old for that.), and car trouble with both cars we had a really fun Memorial Day. We took the kids to Krispy Kreme for breakfast and then to the park to run off all their sugar energy. We played in the backyard and kiddie pool. In the evening, my parents came over to watch Caleb and Elisabeth and Todd and I went out to dinner. It is always a treat to have Todd home for an extra day.

Climbing the Walls

It's been raining for days with no end in sight... It's time to get creative!

This is just a lovely, mud pie Caleb delivered to me after playing in the rain.

Who says...

...you can't play in the rain?

Mother's Day

I had such a sweet Mother's Day. I just kept thinking how blessed I am to have Todd, Caleb, and Elisabeth. We started the day at church. Then, we went to lunch and the park. We finished the day with a family get together at my parent's house.

Todd got my a beautiful heart necklace that had three pearls in it to represent the three loves of my life- Todd, Caleb, and Elisabeth. He also got me a huge thing of chocolate covered popcorn. Yes, my man knows me well.

I had such a special day. I am so thankful for my sweet husband and children.

Caleb is thinking, "My parents are such nerds".

The real shot!

Our Little Artists

The weather was beautiful and hot today. We spent much of the day playing in the backyard and swimming in the kiddie pool. We also let the kids paint. They were so excited to paint, and of course they had to paint a little on themselves.

Sugar and Spice

Sugar and spice is a perfect phrase to describe our Elisabeth. She loves to be held, hugged, rocked, and sang too. She also has spice and a spunk about her. She keeps us laughing. Her new favorite thing to say to us is, "I love you, much!".

I love this little guy!

Caleb is so full of energy and fun. He is all boy. Everything that he does he gives it 100%. He works hard, he plays hard, and then he falls asleep and sleeps hard.

First Weekend Away

This weekend, Todd and I had our first weekend away from Caleb and Elisabeth. We went to Orlando to a wedding for my friend, Heather. Heather and I have been friends since we were little, so we were excited to celebrate with her. The wedding was a Disney wedding. The wedding and reception were beautiful. After the reception everyone headed to Epcot for a dessert party and the fireworks. It was so much fun.

On Saturday, we were able to have lunch with our good friends, Mindy and Chuck. Mindy and I met in college and we have always had such a sweet friendship with them. We had not seen them in three years, so we had a wonderful time catching up.

We really missed the kids, but they were having a ball with my parents. Todd and I had so much fun being together.

Here are a few pictures of our weekend.

I took this picture right after we left our house. Notice my red, puffy, teary eyes and Todd's smile! I am not used to leaving my babies.

Arriving at the wedding!

Heading back from Epcot. We are not used to staying out this late.

Heading home and anxious to see our babies!
