Trial Run!

We spent a not so fun 4 days in the hospital this weekend. Tiffany had a Dr.'s appointment Friday afternoon when they discovered that she was contracting a lot. They put her into the hospital to monitor that afternoon. When the Dr. came in we discovered she was 2-3 cm dialated. We thought the babies were coming that afternoon. It totally freaked us out!!! With all the time we have spent thinking, preparing and praying for the babies, you would have thought the reality of their coming would have set-in. Well, it has now!!!
Friday and Saturday they had Tiffany hooked up around the clock. She had so many IVs, blood pressure cuffs and monitors hooked to her you would have thought she was on her death bed. They hooked her up to Magnesium Sulfate which greatly slowed her contractions and allowed the Dr. to give her 2 steroid shots for Caleb and Elisabeth's lungs. While she was hooked up to mag sulfate she couldn't eat. Let's just say neither one of us have ever gone 40 hours without eating before... Poor Tiffany was so drugged she couldn't see straight and her speech was so slurred.
Sunday morning they took her off all the drugs, fed her and moved her to the anti-partum unit. The anti-partum unit was great, they took her off all of the monitors and only came into the room every couple of hours.
Today, we thought we would be discharged this morning, but the Dr. measured her contractions again and she had 6 in an hour. So, he decided to monitor us a little longer. We thought we were never going to get out of there, but this afternoon they finally let us go! Praise the Lord!!!
And to think... we get to do this all over again in a few short days. This time, we'll be ready!!!
I love this commercial! I can totally see this being me in a couple of years.

Tiffany's 2nd Baby Shower
Here are a few pictures from our last baby shower. We got so many cute things. It is a little bit overwhelming how many sweet friends we have and all the gifts that we have received for little Caleb and Elisabeth.
If you want the full size version of any of these pictures, just click on the picture and it should open another window.
