Our Little Man

Our little guy is one part mischief and one part saint. The problem is you never know what you're going to get. He is just as likely to give you one of these looks as he is to say a Bible verse.
Today he was mostly a saint. While we were cleaning the kitchen after lunch, we were listening to the song "O Praise Him" by David Crowder. Elisabeth started singing the song. I asked her ,"do you know where those words come from?" She just looked at me and I said "the Bible".
I turned around to do some more dishes, when I heard Caleb say something to Elisabeth. I turned around and asked him what he said. He said, "O give praise to the Lord for He is gooood!"
"Caleb! That's the verse the song is based on!"
"Yes, that's my school verse."

Review week

This week we had a review week. We also did some Valentine's Day activities. Caleb and Elisabeth made Valentines for the family, sponged painted hearts, sorted conversations hearts by color, and made and decorated heart cookies.

How Did You Get So Funny?

Elisabeth was absolutely cracking me up the other day. I asked her, "Elisabeth, how did you get so funny?" Elisabeth laughed and said "I don't know. God just made me funny!"

The Three Little Pigs

Today, my mom told the kids the story of the three little pigs. After she got done with the story, I asked Caleb and Elisabeth "So, if we were going to build a house, what would we use? Straw, sticks or bricks?"
Caleb, with a panicked look and stress in his voice, said "I don't want to build another house! I like this one!"
I quickly reassured him that we weren't going anywhere! I guess we have put the kids through a lot over the last 6 months.

Fort Pops

For Christmas, Pops wanted to buy the kids their new playground. It took a few weeks for it to get installed, but the joyous day finally arrived on Tuesday. The kids were so excited when the installer pulled up to the house. In fact, the anticipation was too much, so Tiffany ended up taking them to Grandma's house to pass the time. The swing was finally ready after nap and the squeals of delight could be heard throughout the neighborhood.
